Assistance sought by Eastern Cape police to trace wanted suspects

GQEBERHA – Police in Despatch are appealing to the public for their assistance in tracing two wanted suspects.
Dumisa Christian Blouw (21), also known as Kweylar, was arrested after he was positively linked to several cases of house breaking and theft in Despatch. Blouw appeared in the Kariega Magistrates’ Court on 13 June 2022 on the said charges and was released on bail. The case was remanded until 19 August 2022, but Blouw failed to attend the court case and a warrant for his arrest was issued. (Photograph attached as per photograph 1).
Thabiso Smith (24) was arrested on 31 March 2022 on a charge of possession of suspected stolen property (copper cables) and was later linked to a theft case in Despatch. Smith appeared in the Kariega Magistrates’ court on 4 April 2022 on the charges and the case was remanded until 23 May 2022. Smith failed to attend court and is on the run ever since. A warrant for his arrest was also issued. (Photograph attached as per photograph 2).
