Last night Provincial Crime intelligence together with King William’s Town Flying Squad and K9 members arrested a 35-year-old man for possession of stolen vehicle.
The arrest comes after Police followed the information they recieved about a stolen vehicle at Sophumelela Township in Kieskammahoek. They went to a house and recovered a white Toyota Corolla and through investigation they discovered that the vehicle was reported as stolen in Durban Central in March 2017. The suspect was immediately arrested and charged for possession of stolen vehicle. The vehicle was confiscated by Police.
The suspect will appear at Kieskammahoek Magistrate Court tomorrow.
SAPS Amathole Acting District Commissioner Brigadier Ngangema Xakavu applauded the members for their swift response in following the information that was shared to them. He thanked the community for sharing such valuable information with SAPS and encouraged them to report any criminal activities to 08600 10111.
