On the 3rd of September 2021, a 63-year-old male was arrested for the murder of a 28-year-old male in Maclear road, Elliot.

It is alleged that the suspect was returning from shopping when he was approached by two young males who offered to assist him with his groceries.

On the way the suspect was robbed of his wallet and took out a knife and stabbed one of the men.

The suspect is due to appear in court soon.
