Pretoria: Two former senior employees of the Red Ants security company appeared briefly before the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, where they are facing 102 charges of fraud and theft, involving about R8 million.

Dennis Stephen Klassen (58), a former director and chief operation officer of the Red Ants, and his daughter, 38-year-old Rochelle Klassen Adonis, a former director of the Red Ants’ Cape Town branch, are accused of acting together in defrauding the company assets and shares.

These crimes are alleged to have taken place between 2010 and 2013, police said on Tuesday.

Their case has been postponed to 11 March 2016, for prosecution.

It has since emerged that Stephen also has a pending case of theft and fraud against him currently being heard in the Randburg Magistrate’s Court, for which he is also out on bail.
