MPUMALANGA – An Asylum seeker permit holder (25), is expected to appear before the Tonga Magistrate Court on today Friday, 19 August 2022 after he was arrested at Zoom Zoom Cash and Carry on Main road in Tonga, Mpumalanga by members of the Hawks Head Office based Serious Commercial Crime Investigation together with members of the Hawks Nelspruit based Serious Commercial Crime Investigation, Hazyview POP, Piennaar Tactical Response Team (TRT), White River Flying Squad and members of Adams & Adams brand holders from Gauteng.

It is alleged that complaint was received about business owners who are selling counterfeit goods – Gold Star Yeast product. Investigation was established by the brand owners in collaboration with the Hawks Head Office. After investigation was completed and the matter was brought before court. Search and seizure warrant was authorised and executed hence the arrest. The suspect was taken to charged and detained pending his first court appearance on today.
