Free State set to kick off Sasol Women’s League season

The Free State province will be kicking off their season of the Sasol Women’s this weekend with some mouthwatering fixtures lined up to officially kick start the campaign.

The province’s season will be divided into two streams of A and B, both kicking off as early as Saturday, 11 May. With Bloemfontein Celtics headed to the Women’s National League set to kick off in the next few month, it remains a mystery as to who will dominate the province’s women’s football.

Looking at stream A for this weekend, Black Urban FC will kick things off with Simunye Ladies in the opening encounter of the season at 13h00. In other fixtures on that day, Da Jaguar FC will face Real Madrid while Grassland Ladies FC are at home to Mamello Ladies.

Newcomers, Ixias FC kick off their season in the Sasol League against Kodisang Ladies in what should be a tough opener for the new side.

Looking at stream B, Ayebush FC are at home to Mathata Take Me Cool at 12pm on Saturday before Central University of FS take on Ace Milan FC an hour later.

Title favourites, Kovsies FC welcome Nigol FC later in the day while Napoli FC face Tumahole FC.
