Government Officials Engage in Key Activities Across South Africa for Early November 2024.


Dateline: Pretoria: The South African government has outlined a series of significant activities scheduled for the week of 04-08 November 2024, involving various ministries and high-profile officials across the country.

According to South African Government News Agency, the week will commence on Monday, 04 November, with Deputy Ministers Kenny Morolong and Peace Mabe spearheading an educational tour in eThekwini. The tour will include visits to the KwaMuhle Museum, Gandhi Settlement, and Ohlange Institute. On the same day, Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture, Gayton McKenzie, will inaugurate the National Language Stakeholder Engagement Forum at the Southern Sun Hotel in Arcadia, Pretoria.

Tuesday, 05 November, will see International Relations and Cooperation Minister Ronald Lamola hosting Rt. Hon David Lammy, Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development of the United Kingdom, in Cape Town. This meeting is expected to strengthen international ties between South Africa and the UK.

On Wednesd
ay, 06 November, the Department of Employment and Labour will organize an Employment Seminar focusing on the Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) in Wolmaransstad. This seminar aims to address employment concerns and provide insights into UIF benefits.

As part of the District Development Model build-up programme, Thursday, 07 November, will feature the Department of Employment and Labour offering integrated outreach services to the Umnini community at the Thusong Centre in the Thekwini region of KwaZulu-Natal. This initiative is designed to enhance community engagement and service delivery.

The week will culminate on Friday, 08 November, with President Cyril Ramaphosa leading the Presidential Imbizo in eThekwini, KwaZulu-Natal. This event will provide a platform for direct dialogue between the President and local communities, focusing on national development priorities and community needs.
