Half a million worth of dagga found in luggage

NORTHERN CAPE – On Friday, 03 February 2023 the ZFM District team received information about a female that was allegedly transporting dagga in a taxi to Upington.

The information was operationalised and the taxi was stopped on the N14 road, outside Upington.

The woman was identified and her luggage was searched. Dagga to the estimated value of R 512 500-00 was found and seized.

The 47-year-old woman was arrested and she is expected to appear in court soon.

The swift response by members was applauded by the Acting District Commander of ZF Mgcawu Brigadier Peet Coetzee.
