BLOEMFONTEIN – Members of Mangaung Metro Tactical Response Team executed an intelligence driven operation with great success on Thursday, 09 February 2023. Intelligence was received and operationalized in different policing precincts.

The team first arrived at Bergman Square in Bloemspruit policing precinct and the identified target house was searched at about 08:10. A total of 12 bankies of Chrystal Meth and two quarters of Mandrax tablets were found hidden underneath the carpet and seized. Cash believed to be proceeds of drugs sales was also confiscated. A 30-year-old male was arrested for dealing in drugs.

The team then moved to Kagisanong Police Station area and the identified house was searched in Caleb Motshabi Informal Settlement at about 09:30. Another 12 bankies of Chrystal Meth were found and seized. Another 30-year-old male was arrested for dealing in drugs.

Still in Caleb Motshabi Informal Settlement, a house was searched and Swati dagga with a street value estimated at R3 000.00 was found inside a black plastic at about 10:15. The 43-year-old female was arrested for dealing in dagga.

Cases were opened at the two police stations. The suspects will appear in Bloemfontein Magistrate Court on Monday, 13 February 2023.
