Implementation of 2018/2019 Festive Season Operations still in motion around Limpopo Province

In ensuring that this plan is effectively implemented, today Constable Maphure Manamela from the Provincial Media Centre visited Mohodi FM outside Senwabarwana in the Seshego Cluster.

The audience was addressed on the widespread of criminal activities affecting the Province especially during this festive season. Members of the social clubs remain soft targets of crimes such as robbery, kidnapping, hijacking and theft. These crimes often take place at the shopping malls, complexes, homes and at the atms.

During the interview, listeners were given a platform to be clarified on any police related matters. Safety tips on the prevention of crimes such as theft in general, theft out of and from motor vehicle, fraud, kidnapping (during hitchhiking) rape, domestic related crimes and liquor related crimes.

A stern warning was sent to those that engage in mob attacks and killings, including those who report false cases to desist from their despicable acts. They were cautioned about the escalation of drowning and missing persons incidents experienced in our Province.

In Lebowakgomo outside Polokwane, the Communication officer Captain Leshilo also ensured the plan is implemented when he visited Glfm, in the Polokwane Cluster.

He also addressed the escalation of drowning incidents in the Province and crimes around the malls and complexes. He further warned listeners about bogus police officers and spoke about the 16 days of activism for no violence against women and children awareness campaigns and emphasised that such cases should be reported.
