Life lessons for Endulweni learners on their first day of school

Learners and teachers at Endulweni Primary School in Ekurhuleni commenced their first day of school with words of wisdom shared by MEC for Public Transport and Roads Infrastructure, Jacob Mamabolo, on Wednesday, 15 January 2020.

Speaking at the school assembly, MEC Mamabolo urged learners to value and respect their educators and parents.

“I urge you learners to respect educators, so that you can become pioneers in your communities. A learner that does not listen to their teachers must know that their future will be snared by the rodents. Secondly, I urge learners to respect their parents and listen to them when they instruct them to do their homework. Lastly, learners must make their school books their best friend,” said MEC Mamabolo.

MEC Mamabolo also engaged with the school’s stakeholders on the importance of providing quality education for learners.

“Our efforts as the provincial government is consistent with the strategic vision of our forebears to open the doors of learning and culture wide open and ensure that all learners have access to quality education” he said.

MEC Mamabolo concluded his school visit with a meeting with Members of the Mayoral Committee and the management of the Botshele Early Childhood Development Centre, with the aim of identifying and finding possible solutions to the challenges faced by the centre.
