Media Invitation: SAPS heeds call to join Jerusalema Dance Challenge on annual National Prayer Day

PRETORIA – The South African Police Service (SAPS) will host its annual National Police Prayer Day at the SAPS Academy Tshwane to Mark the closing of Police Safety Month.
Police Safety month is commemorated annually in September and it is a month where we remember those members who died in the line of duty. It also a month where the safety of our members is highlighted and intensified.
In observing this SAPS National Day of Prayer, the management of the Service will also send a message of hope to our brave and patriotic members, who have been on the frontline since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in enforcing lockdown regulations. To date, the SAPS has lost 218 members to the Covid-19 pandemic.
In heeding to the President of the Republic of South Africa, His Excellency, Mr Cyril Ramaphosa’s call for all in South Africa to dance to do the “Jerusalema Challenge”, the National Commissioner of the SAPS, General Khehla Sitole together with the management of the service and members will display their dance moves.
