Minister Mthethwa to officially open and handover the Tshepong sports facilities as part of the 2021 Freedom month launch in Verkeerdevlei, Free State
The Sport, Arts and Culture Minister, Mr Nathi Mthethwa invites members of the media to the launch of Freedom Month on Wednesday, 07 April 2021 at the Tshepong Sports Facility, Verkeerdevlei, in the Free State Province.
The 2021 Freedom Month Launch is hosted under the theme, “the year of Charlotte Maxeke: the meaning of freedom under COVID-19”, in tribute to the 150th anniversary of the liberation struggle heroin and human rights campaigner, Charlotte Maxeke.
Accompanied by the Premier of Free State Province, Ms Sisi Ntombela and the Provincial Department of Sport, Recreation Arts and Culture MEC, Ms Limakatso Mahasa, Minister Nathi Mthethwa will officially open and handover the Tshepong Sports Facilities in Verkeerdevlei as part of the 2021 launch. During the launch, Minister Mthethwa will also hand over sports equipment and kits to local schools.
Prior to the launch in Verkeerdevlei, Minister and his entourage will also visit the house of Mama Winnie Madikizela-Mandela and the nearby Combi court still under construction in Brandfort between 09h00 – 10h00 on the 7th of April.
