The body of Thabo Monareng who was reported missing was found on a farm in a decomposing state after two months of search.

On Wednesday, 28 September 2022 at 08:30 the police received a call from a farmer in the district of Verkykerskop about the body of a male person found on his farm next to the river.

His nephew identified him after he was reported missing on the 3 July 2022.  An inquest docket has been opened to determine the cause of death.
