Police arrested two suspects who killed a 62-year-old female at Nkanti location Detyana A/A on Saturday 31 July 2021 at about 19:30.

The deceased was inside the premises of Mbotho shop, when she was being assaulted by a 29-year-old suspect, the shop owner intervened when the second male suspect aged 28-years stabbed the deceased three times, while the suspects were busy assaulting the women they were calling her a witch.

The deceased sustained stab wounds in her upper body and she succumbed to her injuries. The suspects ran away after the incident but were arrested later.

They will appeared before Ngqeleni Magistrates’ court on Monday 02 August 2021.
