Northern Cape Provincial Community Policing Board engaged Northern Cape police in a strategic meeting for safer festive season readiness

KIMBERLEY: The Northern Cape Provincial Community Policing Board, held a strategic quarterly meeting with the Northern Cape Police Management, to unpack and strategize on matters pertaining crime fighting strategy in the Northern Cape. As we are approaching the festive season, crime fighting structures such as Youth Against Crime, Neighbourhood Watches, Farm Watches, Women Against Crime pledged their support and participation in the fight against crime in their communities.

The Northern Cape Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Peter Shivuri, addressed the gathering, and highlighted the importance of policing partnership and involvement of communities in the fight against crime. The South African Police Service Management in the Northern Cape led by the Provincial Commissioner had committed human and physical resources to enhance operational capabilities, aimed at combating crime throughout the province.

The Northern Cape Provincial Community Policing Board, Mr Ephraim Homan, is pleased that the launch of the Northern Cape Provincial Community Policing Strategy was successfully launched in De Aar, Nonzwakazi Stadium on 21 September 2019. The Community In Blue Concept was implemented and community patrollers were established, and ready to be rolled out in the clusters to strengthen community patrols within the neighbourhoods. We are committed to take down criminal activities, let us ensure we eradicate all forms of crimes within our community said Mr Ephraim Homan.
