SULENKAMA – Eastern Cape Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Nomthetheleli Mene has expressed shock and dismay at the killing of family members on Thursday evening 5 January 2023 at about 20:00 at Nyanisweni Locality, in Sulenkama, Qumbu.
According to the information, SAPS members received a complaint that there was a shooting incident at Nyanisweni locality. As they responded and on their arrival at the scene of crime, they were shown four (4) deceased bodies in a rondavel with gunshots wounds on their upper bodies. Details in relation to the circumstances under which they died and the suspects who murdered them are still unclear at this stage. The identity and the number of the suspects is currently unknown.
Police have registered four cases of murder for investigation. No arrest has been made at this stage. The Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Mene has ordered the Organised Crime Investigation unit to ensure that those responsible for the killings are arrested within a very short space of time and brought before the court of law.

Mr Limasile Tshwane (60)
Mr Bulelani Tshwane (52)
Mr Nqobile Tshwane (15)
Mr Unako Tshwane (15)
