Kwambonambi: President Cyril Ramaphosa will deliver the eulogy at the funeral service of the late Ambassador Nathi Mthethwa on Sunday. The Presidency announced that the service will be held on October 12, 2025, at Dondotha Stadium in KwaMbonambi, KwaZulu-Natal.

According to South African Government News Agency, the late Ambassador Mthethwa, who served as South Africa’s Head of Mission in Paris, France, will be honoured with a Special Official Funeral Category 2. This category, declared by President Ramaphosa, includes ceremonial elements performed by the South African Police Service (SAPS).

Ambassador Mthethwa passed away in Paris on September 30, 2025, at the age of 58. His contributions as South Africa’s Ambassador to France will be commemorated during the funeral proceedings, highlighting his diplomatic service and dedication to his country.
