Public Service Commission hosts Citizens’ Forum, 13 Sept

PSC to host the citizens forum in partnership with the Gauteng Department of Health and Medical Universities in Gauteng to address issues affecting delivery of quality health care in the province

In the spirit of improving service delivery in the health care sector to address the needs of citizens and restore trust in government, the Public Service Commission (PSC) in partnership with the Gauteng Department of Health and Medical Universities in the Province will host the Citizens’ Forum on Tuesday, 13 September 2022.

The Citizens’ Forum will enable stakeholders including community members to engage with the authorities in charge of the delivery of health care services and how these health services are planned, processed and implemented by the various institutions.

Participation during the event will include the following stakeholders, amongst others:

Members of the public;

Medical Universities;

Non-governmental Organization in the Health sector;

Hospital Boards;

Labour Unions in Health sector; and

Professionals in the Health sector.

The MEC for Health in Gauteng, Dr Nomathemba Mokgethi, will deliver a message of support. Furthermore, representatives from the National Departments of Health, Higher Education and Training and Public Service, Administration and Justice and Constitutional Development will also be in attendance to share information on the policy framework governing the health sector and possible solutions going forward.
