DURBAN – A 26-year-old man is appearing in the Ntuzuma Magistrate’s Court today where he will be facing charges of robbery and attempted murder. He was arrested by KwaMashu police on Monday, 07 November 2022.
On 02 October 2022, a police detective was attending a murder scene along Jabula Road in KwaMashu Hostel when he was attacked. Whilst he was waiting for his colleague he was robbed at gunpoint of his service pistol. Another police officer responded and there was a shootout, however the accused managed to escape. During his arrest, he was searched and found in possession of a pistol as well as 15 rounds of ammunition.
