Two men arrested for illegal possession of crayfish

WESTERN CAPE – Grabouw police participated in an intelligence driven operation on Friday, 18 September 2020, and seized crayfish worth an estimated street value of R6.5 million.
Police were informed about a vehicle that was travelling on the N2 transporting crayfish. They saw the vehicle and stopped it, a search was conducted, 12 807 crayfish tails and 377 whole crayfish were seized.
Two men ages 43 and 50 were arrested and will appear in court on Monday, 21 September 2020.
