WESTERN CAPE – Harare police arrested a 40-year-old suspect for the possession of a prohibited firearm and ammunition in 22 Block, Mandela Park Khayelitsha yesterday 05 February 2022. The members were busy with patrols when they saw a male who acted suspicious when he saw the police vehicle approaching. The suspect was searched and found in possession of a 9mm pistol without a serial number and ammunition.

The suspect is due to make a court appearance in Khayelitsha Magistrates court on Monday 07 February 2022.

Meanwhile our detectives were hard at work and arrested 536 wanted suspects who found themselves on the wrong side of the law on charges related to murder, attempted murder, assault with intent to course grievous bodily harm, house robbery, burglary, sexual offences and possession of drugs and firearms.
